1. Acceptance of Terms

By using this Site or requesting services from Palos Verdes Estates Masonry, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the authority to enter into a binding agreement. If you are requesting services on behalf of a property owner, you represent that you have the authority to do so. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Site or request services.

2. Description of Services

Palos Verdes Estates Masonry is a licensed masonry contractor providing residential and commercial masonry services including, but not limited to, foundation repair, chimney repair, tuckpointing, brick and stone work, retaining walls, driveway pavers, and related masonry restoration. Services are provided in Palos Verdes Estates, CA and surrounding communities. All work is performed by licensed, insured professionals in accordance with applicableCA building codes and permit requirements.

3. Estimates and Pricing

All estimates provided by Palos Verdes Estates Masonry are based on information available at the time of inspection. Estimates are not final quotes until presented in a signed written proposal.

• Written estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
• Price changes may occur if the scope of work changes, unforeseen conditions are discovered after work begins, or material costs change materially between estimate and project start.
• Any change orders - additions or reductions to the original scope - will be presented in writing and require your approval before proceeding.
• Free estimates carry no obligation to proceed with any service.

4. Scheduling and Cancellation

Scheduling is subject to crew availability and weather conditions. We will make reasonable efforts to honor agreed start dates, but delays caused by weather, material availability, or circumstances outside our control do not constitute a breach of contract.

• If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 48 hours notice so we can adjust our schedule accordingly.
• Cancellations made after a deposit has been received and materials have been ordered may be subject to restocking or materials fees, as specified in the written proposal.
• Palos Verdes Estates Masonry reserves the right to cancel or reschedule work due to unsafe site conditions, extreme weather, or other factors affecting crew safety.

5. Payment Terms

Payment terms are set forth in each written proposal. General terms are as follows unless the proposal specifies otherwise:

• A deposit may be required before project commencement, particularly for larger jobs or when materials must be ordered in advance.
• Final payment is due upon project completion and your confirmation that the work has been completed to the agreed scope.
• Accepted payment methods will be specified in the proposal. We accept check, electronic transfer, and other methods as agreed upon in writing.
• Invoices not paid within 30 days of the due date may accrue late fees as permitted under CA law.

Palos Verdes Estates Masonry reserves the right to file a mechanics lien on the property for unpaid services in accordance with CA lien law.

6. Permits and Compliance

For work requiring a building permit, Palos Verdes Estates Masonry will obtain required permits on your behalf and include permit fees in the project estimate. You agree to cooperate with any permit or inspection requirements, including providing access to the property at scheduled inspection times. Permit fees are non-refundable once submitted to the applicable authority. All work will be performed in compliance with applicable CA building codes and local ordinances.

7. Warranty Disclaimers

Palos Verdes Estates Masonry warrants that all work will be performed in a professional and workmanlike manner consistent with industry standards. Specific warranty terms, if any, will be stated in the written proposal for each project.

The following conditions are excluded from any workmanship warranty:

• Damage caused by acts of nature, including earthquakes, floods, extreme storms, or ground movement not attributable to defective workmanship.
• Damage resulting from modifications made to the work by anyone other than Palos Verdes Estates Masonry after project completion.
• Normal wear and aging of materials over time.
• Pre-existing conditions that were not within the agreed scope of the repair.

The Site and any information on it are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be available without interruption or error.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by CA law, Palos Verdes Estates Masonry will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or from any service engagement. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to a service project will not exceed the amount you paid us for that specific project. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct.

9. Site Use and Intellectual Property

All content on this Site - including text, images, and design - is the property of Palos Verdes Estates Masonry or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this Site without our written permission. You agree not to use this Site for any unlawful purpose or in a way that could damage, disable, or impair the Site.

10. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises between you and Palos Verdes Estates Masonry in connection with any service, we encourage you to contact us directly first so we can work toward a resolution.

If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing litigation. Any legal action not resolved through mediation will be brought exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Los Angeles County, CA.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

12. Modifications to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site or engagement of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
